“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.” (Matthew 5:13)
"Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone." (Colossians 4:6)
What began five years ago as a desire to share life updates and experiences with family and friends beyond geographical separation has grown to a ministry that encourages people in many walks of life.
Most in the Church can agree that we are supposed to be the light of the world, but many of us have also lost touch with our role as the salt of the earth, giving flavor and richness to all areas of the culture. In every blog post, every interaction, Seasoning Salt seeks to be a voice that builds up the Church as the body of Jesus Christ. It would be nice if blogs could change people's minds, but I'll go ahead and leave that up to the Holy Spirit, and say that, even for those opposed to the Church, this blog strives to be a witness and testimony to the unfailing, irresistible grace of God.
With that, I thank you for reading, for supporting this ministry, and for coming alongside me in this journey as we grow together in the truth of the Gospel.
My prayer is that you will find truth and grace here, but more importantly, that you will seek them in the everyday moments and relationships with which you've been blessed!
